Sometimes all you need is a laptop for researching topics, writing papers, general web browsing, and maybe a bit of Netflix at the end of the day. If you’re looking for such a laptop, I’d recommend springing for the HP Chromebook Plus x360, as it has a lot to offer.

It features an Intel Core i3-N305 processor, a 14-inch 1080p touch display, and a versatile convertible form factor. Its performance is fast enough for day-to-day tasks and its 360-degree hinge allows you to rotate the screen all the way around and use it like a tablet. You can even prop the laptop up like a tent for Zoom calls and streaming video.

Best gaming laptop deals

HP Victus 16t-r100, Intel Core i5-14450HX CPU/Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, $949.99 ($350 off)OMEN Transcend 16t-8100, Intel Core i7-14700HX CPU/Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 GPU, $1,149.99 ($450 off)

The OMEN Transcend 16t-8100 gaming laptop deserves its own callout for its high refresh rate display. The screen measures a spacious 16 inches with a resolution of 1920×1200 and a refresh rate of 165Hz.

The higher the refresh rate, the smoother your gameplay will be — and that’s key if you’re into fast-paced games where every second matters. Other cool features include a 1080p webcam, a full-size RGB backlit keyboard, and a giant 97 watt-hour battery.

Best premium laptop deals

HP Envy 17-da0047nr, Intel Core Ultra 7 155H CPU/17.3-inch 1080p touch display, $949.99 ($370 off)HP OmniBook X, Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100 CPU/14-inch 1400p touch display, $999.99 ($200 off)HP Spectre x360 2-in-1, Intel Core Ultra 5 125H CPU/14-inch 1800p OLED touch display, $1,099.99 ($350 off)

If you’re in the market for a long-lasting laptop with a luxury feel, the HP OmniBook X is a good option to consider.

Although we haven’t tested this specific model yet, laptops with Snapdragon X Elite processors tend to have amazing battery life, as we’ve seen with the Surface Laptop 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge. We expect similar results from the OmniBook X.

It also has a gorgeous 14-inch 1400p touch display and a whopping 1TB of SSD storage. You really can’t go wrong with this one.
